Area Manager – New England (Sales Leadership Track) in Remote

About the Role

Based in Massachusetts, we are strengthening our presence in New England and are looking for an Area Manager who will:

  • Take full responsibility for sales in the New England territory
  • Support and gradually take on sales leadership responsibilities
  • Develop along a clear Sales Leadership Track

This role is ideal for an ambitious B2B sales professional with first leadership experience who wants to grow into a broader sales leadership position. 

What You Will Do

  • Manage and grow sales in MA, ME, NH, VT, RI, CT
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors and end customers
  • Identify and win new customers; expand business with existing accounts and channel partners
  • Conduct on-site product demonstrations, presentations, and trainings
  • Represent Wöhler at trade shows, industry events, and customer workshops
  • Work closely with sales leadership on sales plans, forecasting, and implementation
  • Help establish and maintain sales processes, CRM discipline, and reporting standards
  • Share structured market and competitor feedback with management and the German headquarters
  • Take on increased responsibility over time with a clear leadership development path 

What You Bring

  • Several years of B2B sales experience, ideally with technical products or capital equipment
  • First experience in leading, coaching, or coordinating others (e.g., mentoring colleagues, acting as a senior sales rep, or informal team lead)
  • Business / commercial background (degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering with business focus, or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is a strong plus: HVAC, Plumbing, Chimney / Construction / Building Services
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; confident with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Solid analytical skills; comfortable working with KPIs, sales figures, and basic controlling tasks
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset, high ownership, and desire to grow into a sales leadership role
  • Willingness to travel on average one week per month
